| Certain Rules 1/1; the Doctor, Henry Blake; PG |
[Jun. 9th, 2009|08:51 pm] |
Title: Certain Rules 1/1 Author: scarfman Characters/Pairing: the Doctor, Henry Blake Rating: PG Setting (spoilers through): both franchises as late as 2005 Disclaimer: This work is derivative of property of the BBC and Fox. No profit shall be made and no market of the owner(s) is infringed upon. Summary: Prompt from billfl who won a drabble off me in the Stump The Author meme - "Henry Blake says something that genuinely surprises the Doctor (#9, if he fits into your M*A*S*H/DW storyline anywhere)". In either of the crossover chronlogy paradigms I use, Henry Blake is long gone by the Doctor's ninth personality, so only a spiritual meeting was going to be possible. And I'm not sure the criterion "surprises" is quite met. But I only had to write the first ninety-four words; in context, the last six are obvious. ( It was done. ) |

| Transformations 4/4; Kirk, Saavik, the Doctor; PG |
[Jun. 3rd, 2009|11:57 am] |
Title: Transformations 4/4 Author: scarfman Characters/Pairing: Kirk, Saavik, the Doctor Rating: PG Setting (spoilers through): both franchises c.1982 Disclaimer: This work is derivative of property of the BBC and Paramount Pictures. No profit shall be made and no market of the owner(s) is infringed upon. Summary: The Vulcan Starfleet cadet Saavik (that is, she appeared Vulcan onscreen; novelizations and fanon have it that she was half Romulan) is the only character from the Star Trek screen canon (1) who is considered a regular (despite a mere two and a quarter appearances in the movie series), (2) about whom there is zero biographical data in the screen sources, and (3) who was played (not counting the new movie) by more than one actor ... like the Doctor. Having been composed in 1997-1998, this story predates and ignores anything from more recently produced screen Doctor Who which might suggest that Time Lords have family lives approaching what might be considered normal by the target viewing audience, a subject left unaddressed and ambiguous by screen Doctor Who previous to said composition. Also predated and ignored is screen Star Trek addressing the issue of differing Klingon facial characteristics and dress. crossposted scarfman dwfiction trek_fanfiction trekfics crossing_who ( ''Who were your parents, Doctor?'' ) Note: This is the conclusion of the first reprint to LJ of a trilogy about the Doctor's father, but the other two stories aren't Star Trek crossovers. If you've been following links to this journal from Star Trek community crossposts and wish to continue following these stories, they're not going to be announced any more where you've seen the announcements, and you'll need to check my journal each week. |
