GARP

When I first started drawing a cartoon every day in 1976, they weren't fanfiction. Originally they were what we now call in webcomics a "journal comic", portraying the artist and his pals dealing with conflicts ranging from everyday frustrations to dark lords with spacefleets. This continued off and on through the mid 90s till I started getting my weekly creative-and-attention-grabbing fix with posting to Usenet fanfiction newsgroups. Then in the 2003-2004 tv/Dailies season I revived the "original" Dailies on the fanfiction site, alternating with fanfiction Dailies and the King Arthur Dailies of the time. Then in May 2004 I started AKOTAS and converted the fanfiction site Dailies to fanfiction only. Anyway, here's the first original Daily GARP, set about 1990.

That story was told to me by Martha Soukup when we were both writers and performers for Moebius Theatre.
